How to stop accidental deletions in Jira

1. Restrict “Delete work items” in each permission scheme to project administrators.
2. Restrict bulk change with the global “Make bulk changes” permission.
3. Prefer resolving to deleting. Close duplicates and mistakes with a resolution instead of deleting them.
4. Review automation rules that delete work items, and test their JQL first.
